Review: Tisserand Nail Cream, Massage Oil & More

September 2nd, 2009

I was asked to review Tisserand’s Blemish Stick, but when I opened the box, I was in for a surprise! 6 other products for me to try out!

Tisserand Intensive Hand and Nail Cream

First one I was drawn to- the Intensive Hand and Nail cream. I have dry “old lady” looking hands. I am ALWAYS on the lookout for a good but non-greasy hand cream. The bottle is small, 2.5 oz, but this one will last me a long time- you seriously need a pea size dab, and it handles both hands, and all cuticles.

The smell is what I call earthy. You can tell all the essential oils that went into this. The fragrances I noticed first were Orange Blossom and Bergamot oil. I also could open a particularly stiff doorknob with no issue after applying this- so this little gem is a definite keeper!

Tisserand Muscle Ease Body Massage Oil

Next was The Muscle Ease Body Massage Oil with ginger, lemongrass and rosemary. My husband has chronic back pain. I used this oil on his back, seeing as how he’d be the perfect guinea pig. The fragrance is strong at first, but not overpowering. The oil produced a warming sensation while rubbing my palms together, and made my hands glide over my husband’s skin. It only took a few minutes to absorb and was not heavy feeling at all. After I finished his back, I rubbed a bit into my cuticles and nail beds. I really like this product as well.

Other Tisserand Goodies

I am a HUGE bath fan. There was a bath oil with lavender, marjoram and mandarin. The smell is lovely, and you can definitely tell there’s lavender in there. Best part- it didn’t leave the bathtub oily and dangerous.

Two antiseptic products were included- the vegetable soap and antiseptic cream. The lather on the soap was just enough to tell my mind that it was cleaning, and rinsed off really easily without that sticky and over-dried feeling that traditional soaps leave. The antiseptic cream was a nice change from the hand sanitizers laden with alcohol (especially if you have an unnoticed paper cut!)

Lastly, I also got a roller ball with their ‘de-stress’ oil blend that is a nice, rose-based blend. I use it as my daily perfume. It’s light and refreshing. Jury is still out if it really helps to de-stress or not.
